Current position
Renovae uses cookies and similar storage that are necessary to provide a requested feature, protect the service, authenticate users and administrators, remember the cookie-notice preference, or remember a website language the visitor explicitly chose. The public website uses Vercel Web Analytics for cookie-free, anonymized audience measurement. We do not use advertising, profiling, or optional analytics cookies.
The Crisp support service is not contacted and cannot set support-chat storage until a workspace user explicitly clicks the Support button. Opening the chat requests that feature and may create support-session storage needed to preserve the conversation. Crisp receives a pseudonymous session identifier, connection data, and whatever the user chooses to write or attach; Renovae does not automatically send the user's account name, email address, or company name.
Because these technologies are strictly necessary, prior consent is not required under the applicable Belgian cookie rules. We still provide this notice so their purpose is clear. The “Got it” button only dismisses the information notice; it is not consent to optional tracking.
Technologies in use
- renovae_session: a secure, HTTP-only account session cookie that keeps a signed-in user connected to their workspace. It expires 30 days after sign-in, or after 7 days without activity, and is revoked on sign-out.
- Clerk authentication storage: essential cookies used only on the administrator area to sign in, maintain, and secure an administrator session. Duration follows the configured Clerk session policy.
- Cloudflare Turnstile storage and signals: used on the pilot form and the account registration form to distinguish legitimate requests from automated abuse. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies.
- renovae_ref: a secure, HTTP-only, first-party cookie on app.renovae.io set only when a visitor opens a Renovae referral link. It contains the referral code and the time the link was opened, so that a registration can be credited to the partner who shared the link. It is not used for advertising or profiling, is not shared with the partner, is deleted when the visitor registers, and otherwise expires after 90 days.
- Crisp support-chat storage: created only after the user opens Support, to operate and preserve that requested conversation and keep it separate from other Renovae accounts. Duration follows the support provider's configured session and retention settings.
- renovae_cookie_notice: local browser storage containing only the date on which the informational notice was dismissed. Renovae treats the preference as expired after six months.
- renovae_locale: a first-party cookie on renovae.io set only when a visitor selects English, French, or Dutch in the website language switch, so that renovae.io opens in that language on later visits. It contains only the language code and expires after 12 months. Without it, the website follows the browser's language setting.
- Vercel Web Analytics: cookie-free measurement of public website page views and aggregate dimensions such as referrer, approximate country, browser, device, and operating system. It is used to understand whether the website reaches relevant professional visitors.
Browser controls
A browser can delete or block storage, but blocking essential cookies may prevent account or administrator sign-in, forms, or security features from working. If we later introduce optional analytics or marketing cookies, they will remain off until a valid choice is made, and the interface will provide equally accessible accept and reject controls.
